Born in San Francisco, Carlos Menjivar returned to Coach and serve as a coach and the Older Boy’s Technical Director at MVLA in 2016. In addition, Carlos is the club’s Boys College Coordinator.

Prior to joining MVLA, Carlos was on the San Diego State University Men’s soccer staff as the Director of Operations and has worked with players within the collegiate environment. In addition, he has worked with high school student athletes as they have prepared to commit to play collegiate soccer. As a former collegiate player at San Diego State University, Carlos understands what it takes to be successful at the college soccer level as evidenced by his induction into the SDSU Hall of Fame.

Carlos also has unique experiences as a long-time professional player is El Salvador and has represented El Salvador in a host of international matches. He believes our players have the quality to attend top schools and also continue their soccer careers, and wants our players to have the opportunity to excel in the college environment while enjoying the collegiate soccer experience. Carlos is well equipped to provide guidance to our players as they journey through their collegiate process.
